Stage Play Of Waris Shah's Famous Love Story ' Heer Ranjha
What we witnessed in Manchester last night is something I am struggling to describe. A total changed concept of stage play of Waris Shah's famous love story ' Heer Ranjha' came to life on stage with spectacular outstanding performances by each and every character in the story. Ensemble cast was wonderful.
Manchester gave a truly well deserved historical welcome to a first ever show of its kind. Also to point out they recently had a huge success in Bury, there was also a massive turnout to watch the show.
This Play, Heer Ranjha and the performance by the actors had rocked the audiences with their magical and mesmerising acting. All eyes were on the stage, not for a second did the audience distracted away from the entire play for nearly hour and a half.
There was pin silence in the audience but at the same time we had laughter and joyous moments in the play, the huge round of applause was the roaring noise in appreciation of the story, which depicted love, comedy, and tragedy .
The songs were beautifully and gracefully done. This was truly a family-friendly show, attended by people of all walks of life including specially women (they were in majority)and families.
It was great to see our local counsellors Jill and Suzi also attended.
I think one of the reasons for this show was so successful is the sound system provided by well known Nikki.
Food and tea stall was also setup for audiences to enjoy before and after the show, in the end team cut the cake and distributed among the audience.
After the show audience congratulated the drama team as they mingled with the audience and had tons of pics and selfies taken.
My verdict for the evening is an absolutely great entertainment for all.
And to finish it off it won’t be completed and fair if I don’t mention our most talented Zerqa Ahmad, she taken this show with her brilliant performance to the next level.
