Punjab Badminton Club In Collaboration With B3 Badminton Club Organised A Charity Fundraising
Punjab Badminton Club in collaboration with B3 Badminton Club organised a charity fundraising tournament for Bilal Jamia Masjid Oldham.
Their aim was that all proceeds will help Bilal Jamia Masjid buying an empty plot of land for them to build a new masjid.
The organisers Abbas, Popy, Saif, Babar and Naveed ensured that everyone attended enjoying the evening and participated gracefully while ensuring that fundraising money for the cause was the main target.
They managed to raised over £3K, with the help from one anonymous player, who gave £500, as well as £800 from Oldham’s local councillor @kamran Kamran Ghafoor.
It was a very well organised event, the organisers tried their best to balance the teams for everyone to get a fair and enjoyable game.
Water and Fruit was offered to everyone free of charge and they also had first aid box present incase someone got a sports related injury.
After the games, Trophies were presented to the winning teams. I was offered to participate as they had a player short for one of the team, I was lucky to partner with a league player called Zeeshan Ali Chaudhry and managed to get the 3rd Place Trophy.
