Helping Little Angels Held Their 20th Anniversary
Helping Little Angels held their 20th Anniversary Grand Iftar at a local venue Merzee in Manchester.
Event begun with Qari Javed reciting Talawat followed by a Naat sharif.
Well organised full house event. Attended by many dignitaries including Guest of honour Lord Mayor of Manchester Yasmin Dar, who has supported the charity from the very beginning and despite being unwell attended as she did not want to let them down.
Also a special attendance by Raja Najabat Hussain (Sitara I Pakistan), Chairman JKSDMI and Raja Mehrban Hussain, Chairman Umeed Welfare Trust UK.
Congratulations to the organisers they raised over £20K on the night.
Once again it was great to see people give generously and the auction was amazing, it was pleasantly surprising to see guests bidding against each other with just one thought in their mind that they wanted to contribute as much as possible.
Team members including Athar Siddiqui CEO, Dr Tahir Ali, Vice Chairman and Manchester event organiser thanked everyone who attended and participated generously for a great cause.
Omar Siddiqui, host and HLA executive member conducted the event very well and kept the audience engaged at all times.
Special thanks from HLA to the following individuals with their incredible contributions for organising this event and helping the team in general.
Sibby Khan who helped Trustee Tahir Ali for the last month in inviting guests and his hard work for HLA in general.
Another team member Gazala who has helped make the Manchester event a success over the years and was as always working incredibly hard on the day.
Fellow trustee Lubna whose incredible hard work and guest liaison efforts as always were outstanding. She is the backbone of HLA.
Most of the Team of volunteers travelled from Birmingham with some (on my request) joining them locally. The volunteers performed admirably having travelled from Birmingham whilst fasting.
